Priorities project: spring 2011

The Forum of ESRD Networks has developed a proposal for CMS, the ESRD Networks and Renal Stakeholders that outline priorities for a comprehensive vision for the care of patients with chronic kidney disease and endstage renal disease. The Forum initially responded to the proposed CMS ESRD Network Redesign in 2009, then in 2010 turned its focus to proposing a vision for the care of patients with kidney disease across the continuum of chronic kidney disease, renal replacement therapy and end of life care. The Forum Priorities are aligned with the National Priorities Partnership and the 2010 draft of the National Health Care Quality Strategy, which are guiding documents for CMS in the coming years.
